At Wrightsports, we believe that sport has the power to inspire, educate, and transform lives. Established in 2010, Wrightsports is a professional sports coaching company based in Hampshire, delivering high quality coaching across the South of England from children’s birthday parties and school programs to corporate events and community initiatives.
Our coaching team is made up exclusively of qualified professionals who hold National Governing Body (NGB) certifications in their respective sports, alongside current Enhanced DBS (CRB) clearances and First Aid certification. Each coach brings extensive experience and a passion for developing sporting ability in participants of all ages and skill levels.
It is this combination of expertise, enthusiasm, and dedication that has built Wrightsports’ outstanding reputation for excellence in sports education and coaching delivery.

Alan Wright

Alan Wright, MA (Ed), BA (Hons), PGCE, founded Wrightsports in January 2010 alongside his successful career as a Physical Education teacher. With over 25 years of experience in coaching and education, Alan brings a wealth of knowledge and leadership to the company.

Alan began coaching in 1997 and has since gained more than 22 National Governing Body qualifications across multiple sports. His career includes roles as a professional coach, Director of Sport, and senior school leader in both the UK and international schools. He has guided PE departments through HMC, ISI, and Ofsted inspections and is deeply experienced in the pastoral, academic, and co-curricular dimensions of education from Early Years through to Key Stage 5.

After completing his teacher training in Physical Education at St. Luke’s, University of Exeter, in 2007, Alan has continued to champion inclusive, creative, and inspiring approaches to sport and physical development. His philosophy centres on providing every child with the opportunity to learn, participate, and thrive regardless of ability.

Outside of work, Alan maintains his lifelong passion for sport, having previously competed at a high level in football and rugby. Today, he enjoys playing golf and continues to promote the value of sport as a lifelong pursuit of health, teamwork, and personal growth.
